Coming soon > Mid-Autumn Festive

Coming Soon! Coming Soon... less than one week.

I still can remeber that I celebrated the mid-autumn festival last year at my friend's (James) house. At that time, his wife (Lye Kuan) still pregnant. And now, the baby (Brandon) is going to start with his first step. Time flies, see how fast time fly...is already another year passed. Oh Oh My GOD!!

(that's why they use the word 'fly' for time, and not 'run' or 'move')

This festive have many names, they called Mid-Autumn Festival, Moon Festival, Moon Cake Festival, Lantern Festival...and many others. In chinese, it is called "Zhong Qiu Jie" (中秋节).

Many songs has written for this season. But one of it that I can really feel the 'kick' is the one that composed by our local band... "The BM Boys" a.k.a. "Bukit Mertajam Boys" (山脚下男孩). This band have splited after some time, but this song will be play on all radio station every year during this season.

The simple lyrics that describe the festive, eleboration of the current cultures and living style have changed the traditional celebration.

Lyrics:
(full moon, full moon, moon shine on my house)
(the house without four seaons spreads over the millennium)
(full moon, full moon, moon shine on my house)
(the house without four seasons spreads over the millennium)
(the children nowdays do not believe there are rabbit on the moon)
(home work and computers make them don't listen to the ancient Myth)

(when the tall buildings block the view of the aged moon)
(takes advantage of this season, and let's your children know)
(where the ancient myth origin from)
